For those who said they would buy one if they built the motor show car...it's for sale here.

I do love that colour. It does need a little TLC, and the dash colour combination is unique. Pitty they never did the seat backs the same colour as the body, but that can be changed, together with the front splitters. I wonder what there asking for it.
Less than you'd think - As I undersatnd, thy would take 30K without a warranty but they'll be happy to provide same at additional cost. Daftlad said:

I love that car - it was the reason I placed a deposit for a Saggy-ass and begged for the same colour (they refused due to the difficulty in matching it). http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/248124.htm
It's a shame it's lost the original wheels (but from what I understand they were too big for the arches, the did look stunning though!)

Just a quick question though, why did they close up the wing vents on the production models and not leave them open as on this prototype?
Popular belief is that stones and crap were thrown up on the screen. Truth as I undersatnd is the additional cost involved in providing the open vents on the production cars was costly and therfore dropped. Daftlad said:

.Some won't beleive the price of a candy apple paint job.I remember Gerbil telling me at the show that he'd want £13k or somesuch as an option price for the paint,as it was so labour intensive. It's a shame the car doesn't come with it's show wheels, which if i recall didn't fit properly at the time?

I think it looks more menacing and racer like with the vents in properly. Still a few quid short of owning one mind, but I'm still saving!

I was feeling nosey on friday so I rang up and enquired about this car. It's for sale at £30k and will not under any circumstance be supplied with a warranty due to its 'Unique features' and 'battle scars' (their words not mine'.
In other words its VERY tatty and only really suitable for somebody's collection or if they had a bottomless pocket of cash to throw at it e.g complete respray in a new colour due to Candy Apple no longer being available, engine rebuild etc etc
