It all started a couple of weeks ago when every so often i could only exit the car mechanically. Then some days later, it occasionally wouldn't let me back in, although if i went away for an hour the buttons/boot would be working again.

Also, when i'm driving, the drivers window will sometimes only close 90%, as though the sensor thinks the door is still open (clue?)

No problems with the alarm though, but the other faults described are increasing in frequency.

Any ideas please?

Cheers

Rob

Try disconnecting the control box for half an hour or so, and while it is disconnected clean up the sockets and plugs with some electrical contact cleaner. Take a digital photo of the plugs before you disconnect them so you are sure that you plug them back in the right way round!!! This solved some of my door problems, though the rest were solved by replacing a corroded connector in the dirvers door cavity. Your problem sounds mroe general...

Thanks, i had forgot to mention that i have tried disconnecting the control box a couple of times, didn't make any difference. (As a tip, an indelible marker across the connectors does away with the need for photos smile)

I'm just wondering if i have two seperate problems, or are they connected? scratchchin

What about disconecting the battery, might be ECU related?
