After almost 2 years of building (with an 5-month break in the middle), my SVA is tomorrow (8am, so a very early start - especially with a Monday rush hour to contend with).

Yay!

Thanks everyone - I've been checking all the paper work, and getting bits like cable ties together.

Midday tomorrow - should be possible; depends on what time I make it back smile

Thanks guys - the Maidstone DVLA centre only inspect kit cars on Tuesdays, so I didn't have all the receipts and proof of ID with me. But I may not need to get it inspected; won't know until tomorrow anyway...

I think the inspection will have to be carried out - they will photograph various bits of the car too.

Well done - its about time too thumbup

Congratulations it's great when you get that MAC in your hand. SVA was easy dealing with the DVLA was a pain and took 3 weeks to get the number plates and tax disc, especially gutting when the weather is good!!

Inspection will be Thursday, but everything's been paid for (tax and registration fee).

I should at least have the car home by the end of the day (it's going to be trailered anyway).

Now taxed, plated and on the road. DVLA were surprisingly easy to deal with - even with a personal plate.

They weren't going to do it until Monday, but I really need to get some shake-down miles on it before I take it to France to see my brother, so I'm willing to lose 26 days of tax for that (in the grand scheme of things, it's not that much - plus I get to stagger the tax between the Aeon and my Mondeo).
