Just wondering if anyone else is having difficulty selling their Chim, as I believe my 5.0 (1997) with 88K miles is priced very good, but for some reason not getting much interest....

That was my car for four years, so I can testify to it's excellent condition and full history if anyone wants to know. It's a beauty!

What you getting next Lee?

It's not exactly the best time of year to sell a sportscar......But,you certainly appear to be selling a nice one there. What's the chassis like?If it's in good condition then say so!Also show some underbonnet pics in your ad.If i was looking for a 500 with less than £10k to spend, then i'd be coming round for a veiwingyes

Seems good value for money but I'd say bite the bullet and get the hood repaired. If somebody was going to spend that sort of money on a car (not that I'm saying yours is a lot) would they want to shell out some more money as soon as they've bought it ?? Its not so much the money (150 quid for a new screen ??) more that the would have to sort it out, take it somewhere, not have it for a little bit just after they've bought it, etc, its more the hassle factor for somebody.

Its had a few owners and high miles so you would have to make sure that theres not other things going against it. Eliminate everything else that you can and then concentrate on the plus points. As has been said if its got a good chassis mention it as a plus point.

Difficult to do when you want to sell a car I know but why not spend a little on it and buy one of those new hoods for 300 quid, it would be an excellant selling point for somebody worried aboout whether or not its going to be water tight or not.

All in my opinion of course and trying to be helpful.biggrinthumbup

Nice colour, nice wheels, NEW HOOD !! Its a bargain !!

Hello mate, we are in the process of a bit of property development, so could do with the cash (but not desperate!).

Once all that is sorted then thinking of a Tuscan????

I reckon I may have to get the hood fixed etc...

We will see what happens!

Loads of difficulty, 6 months, 2 viewings. If it doesn't go soon it will have to be traded and thats going to hurt... Don't know if its been the weather, economy or fairly typical but would never have bought mine if I'd ever imagined it would be this hard to sell.

Despite the Woking Wedger nickname I am looking for a Chimaera.

Test drove one at Fernhurst earlier in the week.. I am hooked !

I have been doing my research for around for 8 months, but as of tomorrow the garage will be empty, so I will actually be in a position to buy.

I am looking for at least an HC, 4.3, 4.5 or 5.0 1995 or later.

I have noticed over the period I have been looking Chimearas have become more affordable. (sorry its a buyers perpective ! )

Point me to your adverts, as I have been looking for cars that there owners genuinly beleive to be good.

Sorry I dont want 'Green'

If you are mute. blonde, a Guiness heiress with a fit body and large chest, I might be persuaded to try getting a reddish one.
