guys

ive just bought a 2000 w reg s6. i think the cars great but the acceleration is annoying me. when i accelerate hard , at about 60-70mph after a bit of chugging the abs and esp lights come on the dashboard!! Why does it do this if theres no wheel spin? when i turn the esp off the car again doesnt accelerate smoothly when pushed hard! its just been serviced with belts etc changed but the car had been un-used for a couple of months so would this have a major effect or could it be dirty petrol as thats what it sort of feels like? or does it have anything to do with the onboard computer setting for speed limiting which i cant seem to make head nor tail of?

thanks

Hi mate, it sounds like you have the same prob as me , i was just going to post on it. when your esp light comes on and stays on, it drives crap, but when you turn the motor off and back on,does it stay off or ome striaghtback on?

according to my manual - the abs light only comes on when its malfunctioning and as the esp works with it thats why its lighting up too. strange if its just had a major service!!

mine stays on all the time, mine is a totally different car, but the systems are the same, i put my scanner on it , it said, brake swith(F) and injection start control, so i cleare them down and went for a drive, after a short while, it bought back on, i checked again , same fault?? i doubt they areboth fault, one is probably a sympton off the other? but i am lost now? also mine just comes on whether braking, accelerating or coasting??
