1/4 mile cherry....

ET doesn't depend on reaction time.
With 2.4 sec 60 ft you should be able to get into the 13's... if you can get a 2 sec 60ft. (leave with enough rev's)
I think Duncan did a 14 sec flat, pretty much same mods as you IIRC.
Roger went 12.7 with his turbo ute. Best Ive done so far is a 13.2, hopefully I can chase down a high 12 next time if I drive more violently
Try dropping your tyre pressure to around 18psi for the run, it helps. Wind it out to near the redline too. 6200rpm but keep away from the fuel cut out it will kill your time.

Crail in Fife this weekend - Sunday 30th in fact there's a 1/4mile day on and Total Vauxhall are intending covering it in the magazine as most of the owners' clubs are attending and taking part. Should be a good day out and the best fish and chip shop in the country only a couple of miles up the coast in Anstruther - they even have their own boat to supply them! 8 quid to get in and 15 quid to use the 1/4 mile as often as you want. Also a drift arena to have a play on if you want to burn up some tyres :-)
Definitly some time to be taken out of the 60ft. 2 sec is do-able in a CV8. VXR should be better still as it is lower geared, which have you got?
My gearing is the same as CV8, my best 60ft is 1.9, which also netted my best time to date.
It is quite hard to get consistently low 60ft times in these cars though.

Hard!
Drop the tyre pressures a bit first. Its finding the balance between too little revs so that the engine bogs down, too much revs so that the clutch slips and trying not to get too much axle tramp. TBH, axle tramp was my biggest issue. Dropping tyre pressures helped. As i have adjustable dampers, i wound them up a bit, though i should have tried winding the fronts down a bit to to aid weight transfer.
After that, it is just practice. You will know instantly when you have got it right!
The only other thing is making sure your diff locks up properly. Despite doing everyone elses, i managed not to sort mine out, so lock up was a bit hit and miss. Im confident, had it been spot on i could have taken a little bit more off my time.
Get out there and practice. We keep clutches in stock!!!!!!!!

. But only 0.5 behind the others.
Losing the clutch is my biggest worry. LS7 clutch any better than stock?
