John Force injured in crash!!

Just been checking the NHRA for the weekends coverage and found Kenny Bernstein has had a top end crash with Force.

Its reported Kenny is fine but John has been airlifted to hospital with two broken legs and a broken arm.

Now John is a huge hero of mine and my thoughts are with him and all involved.

hes a tough old boot, i just pity the poor nurses, can you imagine?

I agree, it looked to me as if the chassis was damaged already and pulling the chutes snapped it in two.

His car didn't blow up in the usual huge fireball so I guess this accident must have been a bit of a shock to him.
As you say he'll be back.

i'm no expert on the clutch bell housing, although it made of titanium,could he still have a clutch explosion that might be the factor?
any expert care to comment?

That was a really nasty crash, must have shaken everyone up.

Let's hope everyone recovers from it fully.

It was a strange one though, the chassis did appear to fail a while after the initial (what appears to be) tyre failure

I thought it was a tyre failure initially, but watching it a few times it appears both tyres are intact as the back half of the car goes towards the wall

I'm guessing at Clutch Explosion that cut the chassis in two, John is a very lucky man, in one shot you can see his legs in the air, its a miracle that he is sort of OK, hope he gets better soon

From what i have read it was not a clutch explosion.

As they were putting John in the Medevac helicopter he was asking if Kenny Bernstein was OK and who had won. He was also shouting orders to Robert Hight!!
