Has anyone come across a wind deflector for the Chimaera?

No, I haven't gone limp-wristed but Mrs Spud does have an issue with having her hair blown in her face for miles on end when the roof is downhippy. I guess that others might also have issues with wives/girlfriends/mistresses or whatever occupying the jump seat and having a similar hair problem. It doesn't bother me as I don't have any hair to speak of. cool

I'm thinking of the sort that fits behind the seats like a screen - usually with transparent black nylon mesh on a frame and fitted to the car somewhere around where the hood bolts are fixed.

Does anyone know of these or is anyone interested in having one made?

Have you tried the compromise of having the targa top look with the back up and just the centre section missing? It worked well for me at the weekend.

Mrs S Uses a hair bobble. For the cost of a deflector you can probably buy thousands of them!

Thank you all for your kind and (mostly) helpful comments.

The problem is that Mrs Spud has Alice bands, hair bands, elastic bands, headscarves, bobbles, ties, big hats, small hats, skullcaps, woolly hats, baseball hats, cricket caps, hairclips, hairpins, hairslides and even a flying helmet for chrissakes. None of them do the job for her - and no, she isn't normally overly critical.

I think, and these's some female logic in the middle of this that I'm not prepared to enquire into too closely, that she simply doesn't want to be blown about excessively - and you must all admit that driving along with hair in your face for mile after mile cannot be terribly pleasant.

So, back to my original question - wind deflector, yes or no?

Never, do you want to look like a Porsche Boxter driver?
You may as well swop Mrs Spud for a King Edward.
