Paul,
I have a brand new kevlar / carbon fibre strap if you are interested? I was bought for a PAM 98 (GMT) but not used.
Thanks, I'm after leather or similar ideally though.I have a brand new kevlar / carbon fibre strap if you are interested? I was bought for a PAM 98 (GMT) but not used.
What are people's view on things like Snake and Crocodile skin?
I'm afraid I'm quite naive on these things and whilst I assume that cow leather is a by-product of the meat industry (or vice versa in some cases but either way a cow is a cow IMO) I would assume many of these exotic skins are gathered in quite appalling ways which makes me not want to touch them.

Can definitely recommend the Dons straps and paneristi.com
Good luck and post some pics when you get it.

3 straps, 3 sets of tubes and a set of screws for £70 aint bad if you ask me if they're as good a quality as the reputation suggests they will be.
Just a quick follow-up as the straps arrived today.
ing wow basically. I'm certainly no expert on watch straps but I'm struggling to imagine how a Panerai strap at £150-200 can be 10x better than one of these is.
Time will tell if they fall apart or anything, but I'd have to concur with all the feedback I've seen/read that these are really nice quality straps at an excellent price and service.

Just had a quick look at Don's site, the stuff looks well made and the $'s are very reasonable. By comparison, a client recently asked me to order a croc strap for her ladies Jaeger Reverso. It's probably about 3 square inches of Croc in total, I was quoted £175! I asked, and no that didn't include lunch....
