Yesterday (Sunday) I was pottering along the A140 on my way to Seething airshow. As always I keep an eye on my mirror to make sure I don't hold up to much of a Q of quicker traffic (everyone else). I spotted a glimpse of something very red and very low up my chuff, time to find a layby to pull over. When I did a lovely Ferrari passed me with a thumbup swiftly followed by about 20 Lotus of various models all acknowledging my very thoughtful and considerate gesture biglaugh Must have been on there way to the Lotus open Day, very nice to see them all.

I went to the show yesterday in my friends S2 Sunbeam Lotus cool,he had it on the club stand.
The event was well attended and the factory was open so you could walk around a marked route including production and the test cells etc.
There were 2 parades of Lotus products that spanned the 40 years at Hethel. Note that VX220'S were not invited confused
Lots to see and do (bumper cars and simulators etc) for everyone.

The organising team came round towards the end asking for idea's for next year clap

I saw alot of people returning from this on the A11 that evening too.

Unfortunatley the A11 was closed at elveden and i had to head north via brandon, hope none of the lotus guys got carried away.

I saw several as I was turned away from the factory, that was celebrating 40 years of production, because my Vx220 doesn't have a Lotus badge.

Thanks - trackside ones weren't up to my normal stds but she got them in the frame and also in focus so can't complain too much I was pleased to not take the crown for the worst handling "car" out there as that Ford thing was a real boat!!!

Not sure how that got there at all - I think it's a modern updated Lotus Elite (the original one rather than the later wedge shaped one) but I think it wasn't part of the display as it didn't do the parade

I like it but she said no!!!

It was unfortunately

A lotus Elise managed to park under an Audi A8 on the A11 - no one hurt tho which was great news

The bloke stuck in the drivers seat of the Elise was unable to get out because of the wheels on the doors

I havent hotlinked the pics cos that wouldn't be fair but neither forum requires a sign in so pop over and have a look at the pic

That's incredible!! How he managed to walk away from that is just amazing.
Do they have a front rollbar?

I wonder what the Audi driver made of it, being lifted up in the air like that!

Strange, I see 14 posters have commentated to this thread and yet not one of them shows, at least not on my P.C.?

Now that I have made this comment I can now read them all, strange gremlins?

If that is the case, would a group of Allegro's, Marina's etc be a crop of British Leylandi ?
