Can anyone with a genuine knowledge help me out here;

1. I'm told that run flat tyre use special wheels and that normal tyres cannot be fitted to these - is this correct?

2. If normal tyres are fitted can TPMS still be used?

3. I've seen a souple of Coupes running around on CSL wheels - I quite fancy the idea of this(!) but are these wheels TPMS compatible? (it's not essential but it think TPMS is a useful system and I would like to retain the functionality)

Cheers much to anyone who can help!! smile

1. Nope total rubbish - I fitted Michelin PS2 to my Z4 that was previously runflats - No problem at all

2. It depends what system TPMS is used. Early Z4 used tyre rotation and the ABS sensors to detect pressure loss. Late model Z4 (2007/08 build) use Valve mounted sensors.

3. No idea so can't answer that one.

Thanks Monster that's very useful info - My '05 Z4 is being delivered tomorrow and I can't wait! It was very impressive all round except for the slight skitish feeling you get from those tyres over a rough B road - really limits your confidence to push on. Nothin a nice set of Toyo Proxes wouldn't fix and they're a damn sight cheaper too!!

Thanks clap
