This is what happens when a client goes under and takes half your yearly turnover with them...

Gutted does not come close as to how sad I am to be pushed into a situation where I have run out of options other than selling her...

I feel like I am giving her away at that price aswell!

A very sad day... I will return to the TVR fold once things pick up again, and maybe Ill even try buying her back...

Gutted frown

Sorry to hear that. You'll be back I'm sure.

Don't be a stranger in that time without - stay lurking at least. Some posts will remind you why you need to get back in a Sag when things improve, others will make you feel less sadened wink.

Sorry to hear your hand has been forced. Make sure you sell to a caring owner, keep his/her phone number and maybe in a couple of years you can get it back again!

Is keeping the Sag, and getting a £5K daily motor (or if it must be a £500 one) instead of the £55K one of your query a few weeks ago, not an option? With 'normal' cars being out there in all sorts of numbers and depreciating like stones, while there's less than 150 Sagarii with not much chance of any to be built ever again, I'd say this is definitely one to hang on to...

Anyway, gutted for you mate. frown Wish I could afford one right now...

To be entirley honest, I reckon in the same position I'd be selling the Sagaris too. (and I want one more than you can believe!).

In a not entirely same league style. I ran my Celica as daily driver, the mileage I was doing and maintaining it doing that mileage was costing a shed load. So I bought a 300 quid Corolla. Cheap, cheerful, decent stereo, 45mpg on cheapo unleaded. Laughing.....till you realise the hour or so of hooning you get on the weekend really doesnt make up for the 10hrs of utter boredom you have to suffer commuting every week.

It is tough, but I can see where he's coming from.

Yeah, but the utter boredom will remain utter boredom whether in a £5K Mondeo or a £55K Range Rover...

If you consider the OP's 335i as shit to drive as a £500 hack then I guess the boredom would remain. Given the choice of 335i all day every day, or 1.0 Micra for 95% of your motoring life with 5% Sagaris, I'd be driving the BMW.

No, but I reckon £5K worth of Mondeo would actually be a better drive than £55K of snoremobile (which was the original query - a comfortable and roomy place to sit in traffic for that amount)... so why spend the other £50K if that means losing the motor that actually fuels your passion?

£500 may be pushing it... but personally I'd have far more fun driving a £2K 900T16 Aero (practical too - has a loading bay that puts all current estate cars to shame, you could easily convert it into a double bed wink ) than a £50K 4x4...

Without going into personal financial details on a public forum...

Trust me, I LOVE this car and if I had an ounce of hope that I could justify the outgoing to keep her over the winter I really really would... but in the current light of things (that actually all started the day I bought her) its the 'toys' that have to go first...

Shit happens... its happened before and it'll proberly happen again, but things will bounce back...
