Doesn't say how he was clocked - I thought that Gatsos went tits-up over 165 mph, so it must have been a mobile unit. If it was LTI 20/20, he was probably parked.
Whatever - a twocker at 170 mph that looks like an overweight Harry Potter... throw away the bloody key!

He was only a few MPH above the speed of that fine, upstanding police officer who was exposed for "assesing" his new patrol car at hideous speeds and got away with it! Justice? I think not.

Well the 'fine upstanding officer' had not taken the car without the owners consent..And he did his speed on a motorway, unlike this man who did this on a stretch of road known for serious accidents with several junctions nearby. This mans speed I would submit was the more hideous.I bet the officer suffers for far longer within his Police Force than this mans sentance.

Actually the 'fine upstanding officer' also did some hideous speeds in a 30mph zone too. He should have been fired at least.

That sort of speed on an A road is just ridiculous. Did he deserve to go to prison? Abso-bloody-lutely!

Just because others got far more lenient sentences for worse offences is not a defence. It just shows that the justice system isn't consistent.
