NEIL_BOLTON Closed the original thread of "BMW DIAGNOSTICS SOFTWARE 6.5" Claiming that it was a discussion about pirated software, it was nothing of the kind. This software is available from BMW on ebay and from a number of other retailers and is OE. Just to put the record straight.

its carsoft, which is pirated
on ebay it's pirated software.

carsoft software sold on fleabay is a copy "pirate". the software is crap and VERY hard to get to work.
Save your money, and the hardware interfaces require a laptop with a REAL serial port (not a USB one).
I know a few people who have it working and its not very good.

Still cant get mine to work......

I have never had any problems, just use a PCMCIA adapter for maximum compatibility.
USB- Serial are crap.

Wow, I never knew BMW have started selling on Ebay...

Are you honestly saying you believe that BMW would allow their 'crown jewels' to be flogged outside of their supply network at cost price?
