You didn't say which wedge you have, my tasmin turbo uses the same as a 280, a friend replaced the one on his 400SE which was the same as my turbo and I think (99%) the same as a 350i - original fitment was a 2.8 Capri

It can be off anything as long as its a reasonable volume and has the right number of inlets / outlets.
When mine went I ended up with a MkII escort one. Its a funny curved shape but works OK

Yup, mine split on the 390 last year. Got a used replacement from Tick Over (Capri specialist breakers, somewhere around London - as you'd expect) for 15 quid.

Whilst I'm at it: Chris, I have some pics of your car from Back Home (I think) '97: I did approach you for a chat but you were in a rush at the time as I recall. Very well-looked-after car: any ideas where the factory DHC Turbo prototype is these days?

Ian, At great risk of being shot , the stories I have heard about the DHC turbo prototype (and there have been many).
a) It was written off!
b) It wasn't written off!!
c) It was for sale from around 1990 to 1995 at various car shows around the north west and also in the sprint magazine, I took a look at it at back home around 1990 and was a little concerned that the VIN plate pop riveted to the nearside inner wheel arch had been removed, the four holes filled and a iffy paint job to cover the repairs, the car was offered for sale by Gent called Russ Bowers? AVJ who built the engine in my car claimed that they made two of these engines the first being for the DHC, however TVR informed me that the DHC had a single SU with a suck through turbocharger set up, as indeed this car had, it was also the correct colour (black). I to would be very interested in its more recent history.
