oh come on that's the price of a volvo estate these days!

by all accounts it's the real deal and given the Moto gp racer costs upwards of £500k i reckon £40 grand is a bargain. It's got the same brakes as the moto gp wet weather set up (ie steel not carbon), pressurized forks, same bore and stroke as the 990 moto gp bike, bespoke brigestone rubber (their stickiest ever sports tyre) the list is endless.

yeah trouble is I don't like ducatis enough to want the ulimate all-time duke. that and the spare £40k. But for the more well off duc fans out there, it looks like good value.

A stunning bike to be sure, but that guy hasn't got the brains for presentation work does he?

"It really is a Moto GP bike with lights on"

So... that bike has been used in Moto GP?

Or at least... it's exactly the same as the GP, but with lights?

No no, its a Moto GP inspired bike. I'm just glad he didn't use the word 'literally'.

I'd still rather have a ZX10R and throw £10k worth of toys at it and pocket the other £20k.

I have to admit that even at that price it is one hell of a bike . . . I wonder how many will actually get used compared with the ones put in collections, living rooms, etc.

also kevin nash makes a corking point when he points out that 40, 000 isnt a lot to spend on something like that when u count how many top sepc mercs, bmw s etc etc there are.

for someone who wants one and can afford it the price wont bother them, plus there only going to go up in value as ducati are only taking orders till the end of the year and they have sold enough to have homologated it for wsb/bsb

Point well and truly missed.
Yes, it has more power than a stock IL4, but not necessarily faster than them.

It is, however, about as close to a MotoGP bike as you are going to find this side of buying a real one, without the rebuild every few hours hassle.

In my eyes, it is achingly beautiful, and by all accounts incredibly involving to ride. The price is, like the Honda NR750, fairly irrelevant.

Its an expression of pride in Ducati Corse by Ducati and the engineering that went into it is beyond price.

If I could today, I would. Whether I'd do any justice to the bike is questionable.

only 200bhp!! is your name casey stoner, cos if not i doubt you could make any use of those extra ponys over an "ordinary" in line 4.

also there is a point on a 200bhp+ roadbike where u have to take reliability and running costs into consideration.

i personally think they could have left a lot more of the power on the bike but chose not too so they didnt get lawsuits from familys of victor verticals who launch themselves into orbit!!!! rofl

Yep want one......but is it any good for inside leg 33 inch? This could be the bike equivalent of a TVR so well up for it but need to feel comfortable and not keep hitting my chin! So who has ridden one?
