any one had a 360 spider dropped and spaced. How does this affect the handling and balance of the car. Im sure speed humps would be a major concirn. Had an estimate of £1k from Ferrari dealer. any info appreciated.

Lowering should take only a a few hours to remove the springs and wind them down. You fit the spacers at the same time. 3-4 hours tops, so I'd hope it would be less than £1k.

Be careful with lowering it too much though as the arches are rolled in, they're not rolled up. So as you hit an incline whilst turning (turning into a forecourt or onto your driveway, you can catch the inside of the arch and the tyre bends the arches outwards. It happended to my 360, luckily I stopped in time to not do any paint damage and the wheelarch was gently rolled back.

A mate has had his 360 spider dropped about 1cm and he notes it does improve the handling. I have had my 355 'spaced' with 11mm spacers on each rear wheel (hill engineering) and I can confirm it improves the handling.

This is a fairly simple operation and one that doesnt need ferrari to do at £100 an hour. The same guy (independent) did both our cars (£50 an hr). He's based in west london (notting hill), carcare1.co.uk.

I note you live in SE london, you could drop the car off to him on sat, take the missus somewehere nice for lunch, have a wander around notting hill and then pick the car up.

Will need a geo setup afterwards (approx. £100).
