Unichip piggy back ECU

Looking at a tuned 5ltr TVR engine at the weekend, that was fitted (as far as I could see) with the Lucas Sagem system and a Unichip piggy back ECU. I gather these can be tuned to tweek the origional ECU signals for best perfomance, without all the problems with rechipping the origional ECU. Anyone tried this setup ?

Have had two of these in the past (1 on a porsche 931 and 1 on a supercharoged MX-5)both worked pretty well, did try having one fitted to my first Chimaera (5/6 years ago) and it blew the distributor amp every time, so I gave up.

Was it on the 14cux or latter system ? Any data on the unit still? Not found much on the web.

was on the standard 14 CUX, the install was done by Owen Developments
