I would be interested to know if anyone else uses this roundabout and encounters the same problem that I do.

Entering from Tollerton heading into Nottingham there are two lanes both marked A52 Derby/Notts. The Left hand lane can clearly only use the left hand lane on the roundabout, whilst the right hand lane can choose from the other A52 lane or to turn right.

I would say that about 95% of the time when you're in the right hand lane and want to continue along the A52 the car on your left will drive into your lane. I only ever seem to experience it at this junction and with such regularity that I now approach it with my hand ready on the horn. mad

Does anyone else find this?

a similar kind of situation with the round about at the end of castle boulevard as youcan now only turn left out of castle marina retail area, so there are a lot more cars havin double back to nottingham but you use one lane to double back but as u enter the nottingham bound way you ave to use the left lane only for nottingham and the right for castle marina so people are allways in the wrong lane!!!

I'm hardly ever around that way, but yes, the markings and lane control is very poor. Back in 1986 I rolled a two week old Cavalier on that roundabout.

That Island really needs a flyover for traffic to stay on the A52, with the roundabout below.

Lings Bar road should be a clear dual carriageway for its entire length.

The roundabout at the Gamston end should also have a flyover for A52 traffic.

The Nottingham Knight roundabout should have an underpass for A52 traffic.

Access to Tollerton from the A52 should not allow access out and across the road at the Goose.

Likewise, traffic emerging from Gamston should not be able to turn across the A52 at the Goose.

The stupid pelican crossing "docks" should be removed and the limit increased to NSL.

Do I get the job for road planner now?

I live in Tollerton and had a little Punto van written off recently by a Transit changing lane there, why oh why cant people stick to lanes and just go around again.

Oh by the way theres a vehicle stuck under the bridge again this morning.

That roundabout is a freeking 'mare. I used to regularly drive from Melton to Nottingham. I've had numerous people blast their horns as I was in the middle lane, heading straight on to the A52 and hence turning left into the middle lane only to find some twonker, usually in a Volvo, on the inside lane and insisting on pulling out into the middle lane of the island.

Once I had someone chase me down to the Nottingham Knight roundabout so he could wind his window down and shout at me. I insisted we drove back and I showed him the road layout.

He still stuck the 'V's up and drove off, but I felt a bit better.
