Mk2 Leon 1st service woes
Discussion
Took my Mk2 LFR for it's 1yr / 10k mile service.
Spoke to the service advisor and asked him not to top up screenwash etc as I am not a moron, and what the price would be.
He checked in the back office. £160.
I collect car. They've washed most of it (missed a wheel).
I am then asked for £250.
I query this.
Menu based pricing is £180. The invoice says £171 as I have been charged for screenwash and other sundries.
I eventually pay £160.
In addition to this, I am advised that it needs a 4wheel geo check at extra cost.
That's OK, because I read on another forum that there is a recall for this. Ahhh but that's only up to 9500 miles and you've done 9800.
This is not the first time they've seen the car.
Apparently they'll need to get SEAT to authorise this
I'm not that bothered about this tbh, but it's indicative of the atrocious service i've received. The adviser was blase, and I could hear them informing another customer that his car needed him to take a drive with one of the engineers, and they were all on lunch for the next hour.
Not good enough.
No wonder the auto trade has a terrible reputation in this country.
