I did my CBT a while ago and have done several hundred miles on a 125 since then - almost all of it the form of a South Oxfordshire - Docklands commute!

I've since passed by theory test and now plan to get my full licence.

I've spoken to a couple of bike schools, and they reckon that a 2 day course will be sufficient based on my experience so far.

I'm tempted to go for 3 days to be on the safe side, but it works out expensive as it means an extra day off work etc...

What are peoples thoughts - is two days likely to be enough?

i did my das with my mate (the instructor) in 2.5 days, he reckoned i'd only need two days but i strongly recommend the third, i found the U-turn easy sometimes and frustratingly difficult the next, therfore the more practice the better! check to see if they include a guarenteed pass (in terms of additional free training like my mate does)

he is friendly and very calming, but most importantly an excellent instructor!!!

GOOD LUCK!

yeah he is really good, he uses er-5's which are really easy to ride. we spent the first day in the car park, the second day on the road, the third day on the road and just after lunch i had passed my test!

Have just sent a mail asking when they have availability and if he thinks 2 days or 3.

2 days would be better from a financial perspective - cost of taking time off work etc.

he will probably want to assess you ride a 500 in the car park, whatever he says take his advice, he will make you a safe rider not focus on passing the test, however being a safe rider means you will pass your test!
