Is this a repeat of Canon's cash back offers that ran earlier this year - with the addition of the EOS40D to the list?

I bought a 400D (with the kit 18-55 lens) with that offer and Canon sent me TWO £50 cheques! As I bought the camera kit for £489 minus a 10% discount from empiredirect.co.uk the final cost to me was £340 .

Anybody previously done these cashbacks - how do you claim? Do you get something when you buy, or do you just have to show a receipt? <currently wondering how I can mock up a receipt with a 5 day later date...>

Yup,
You print a form from their website, fill it in, attach the sticky barcode with the units id number (from the box) , & send it to Ireland (address on the form). This is if you are in the UK. Few weeks later a cheque appears.
Make sure that you have the receipt in the same name as you want to claim, and make it exact!!!!
