warning check your swirl pots!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my 98 chimaera seemed to be losing water from the expansion tank. On further inspection it was coming from the swirl pot. When i took it off it fell in half!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Had originally welded together- spot welded in two halfs by tvr. Had mine welded. Check yours now.

This started to happen to my 99 Chim 400 on Boxing Day, so it would appear to be something to look out for.

Is this a common fault? and being a bit new to all this, where's best to get a replacement chaps.
