Land Rover virgin - hello is anyone there ?

Picking up a 'Y' reg dealership ex-demo Freeloader V6 'Sport' this Friday as our practical vehicle, it's my first ownership of the marque.

Max our Dobermann puppy approved the choice of vehicle during the test drive last saturday.

Just thought I'd say hello, and look forward to the same sense of camaraderie and help that exists on the TVR forums.

yes I have a landrover too.. Although having spent aout an hour freeing off the clutch last night, do sometimes wonder if its worth it

I've had one or two over last few years and my conlusions are

they leak
they smell
they cover the drive in oil
and they are very adictive

there still at home off road i've had one come past me when off roading before. lets just say wet grassy hill, V8 and mud tyres were no match for traction control!

Don't knock freelanders capability off road, you should've seen them go on the G4 challenge and in the Camel Trophy.

It has a green badge and was tested to destruction many-a-time at the Land Rover test track at Eastnor, get some decent tyres on it and you'll be sorted

And welcome, it's a fine marque

Welcome to the Landy forum. They're similar to TVRs in many ways, including the fact that some of them are no trouble at all
