1.9L VW diesel prob - loss of boost

I have a 1.9L 110bhp 1997 passat turbo-diesel, which I'm told is an AFN engine code, and its lost its puff, which feels like it is not coming on boost whatsoever……this happened before, and after a little web searching I worked out I needed a new MAF meter, £80 later on, a new Pierburg item was fitted and the problem was solved, ……..this was 18 months ago, and the problem has jusr re-occurred, so I got another MAF and it hasn’t fixed it……..bugger…….what else could it be?......

for those that are interested.....had a diagnostics session today at Motorvation in Grays-Essex, it turned out the me the electronic fuel shut off valve, located on top of the high pressure fuel pump at the back......mechanic took it out, blew it clean , re-installed it, and hey presto, my car now has power again.......he said they either work or the dont, mine was a rare case as it was not working properly, but working a bit........Gary at Motorvation is a bleedin god......I would have never found that one!
