My driver door speaker has packed up, I've had it out and can't see any obvious wire breaks, what's my next action?
P.S. Can you test speakers with a multi-meter?
I had the same problem. If you're sure it's the speaker, I don't think there's anything you can do to fix it (assuming it's the standard Pioneer job). I replaced mine.P.S. Can you test speakers with a multi-meter?
Two bits of wire and a small battery, connect to speaker and should see some movement in the cone, doubt the speaker itself has packed up though, unless it was being over driven.
Remember years back the wire fixed to the cone broke off on a 16" cheapo disco speaker.
Normally always an annoying loose wire or amp problem. How old is your head unit?

I fitted MB Quart componet ones, ordered from the US (about half the price of here)
They do have huge separate crossover units which don't fit in the doors (fitted mine in the boot underneath the removable panel above the petrol tank)
It is a right pain to fit them as you have to get wires from the head unit to the boot then back to the doors
They sound amazing.....
You can buy the ones that don't have separate crossovers, doubt they sound as good though
