At the end of my road, there are no loading lines on the kerb but there aren't any no waiting ((double) yellow) lines on the road. Am I allowed to park there or not?

Are there any signs indicating an "Urban Clearway" ? If so they will show the times that parking is permitted.

No. It's just a residential street: single yellow on one side and no lines at all on the other side which is the side the no loading lines are at the end of.

Sounds very strange as no loading lines usually come in addition to solid lines on the road. i.e. where they don't want anyone to stop even for a short period of time.
This sounds like you can't stop for a short time to load but can stop for a long time if you park.

Or if your road joins onto a more major road, they may have continued the no loading lines aroud the corner for a short way into your road to stop people nipping into your road as a convenient loading bay, blocking the junction with potentially large vans and trucks and then inconveniencing residents.

That makes sense - there's a cricket club round the corner to which articulated lorries deliver beer.
