rusty hubs

The rear hubs on mine are an unsightly orange and I'm thinking of painting them black with heat resistant paint, is this a stupid idea?

Try Hammerite paint. I rubbed down the hubs with light sandpaper, then cleaned the hub with brake cleaner. After that I used black smooth Hammerite and a soft paint brush. I've used this paint before and it works well, even at high temperatures.

I used black engine enamel on mine last year - look so much better.
