Anyone has any idea, how much this car is really worth?

I would say the reserve price is good. I wouldn't go too much higher...

Well you have to remember, that is not a new car. At least I am guessing it is not. With the Saab plate on the back I would guess it was a trade in car. With it not being a new car, it has no warranty. You would really need to know it it new or preowned with no miles on it. There are still some '01 cars out there that are brand new but I don't think this is one of them. It looks like a nice car though, especially with the color being somewhat rare as they don't build very many gunmetal cars.
As for the price, that is pretty reasonable for a car with that few miles on it and the condition it has been kept. Maybe someone else can comment on this, are those wheels the stock wheels for 2001? Main thing though as far as it is concerned is the warranty. Those cars have a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty on them so see if it is still inservice. I will actually call Lotus with the VIN and check.

Ok here is the deal, it is a brand new car and has not yet punched warranty. That is a really good deal if you ask me, for a car that will still have full factory warranty. That car had one recall for the passenger side seat belt which was remedied, a new battery. Sounds like a great deal as I have the same car with the '02 wheelset and it is more than that. I would probably jump on that car as you will not have any ownership issues for the next two years that would not be covered under warranty. Good luck and if you contact them outside Ebay I am sure they would help you out price wise.

Thanks everyone. I contacted them today and YES it is a new car with new car warranty. I'll keep you posted. I know the second I drive it off the lot, I will loose at least 5K on the price. But I will keep you guys posted.

Yeah, maybe, but isn't that the case with just about any car you buy? I think the enjoyment will far outweigh the expense.

Well Mr. Skertic:

I have found a car (this car) about two months sooner than the time I had anticipated. I am building my house and I didn't want to get in a new car until closing (it's tough to convince the wife) before she gets the new car. I tell her all the time "honey I can sleep in my car, but I can't drive my house". That always ticks her off. If the bank doesn't give me a hard time because of the house, I might submit an offer. If so, then I might have to congradulate you..

Michael

P.S. Thanks for the tip on it being a nice car! This board is great.
