Now that the weather is taking even more of a turn for the worse, I am starting to knock off some of the jobs on my '93 Chimaera.
One of the first jobs is to address the fact that the wing mirrors do not adjust with the "joystick" switch on the drivers door.

Has anyone else experienced this before & how did you resolve it? The car has suffered a little water damage in the past, so am wondering if the switch has corroded. Any pointers on where I can get a new one?

Cheers

Clean up & grease ALL the connectors in the door, and check with a multimeter whilst you are at it. If you've had water in it is just more than likely a cruddy connector - just as easy to make a job of it & clean all the wiring connectors in both doors. You can also check the wire from a connector under the carpet in the footwell to the door loom (snaps with the constant bending on opening the door) if you cant find 12v or an earth wink

Just take your time & enjoy it wink Much easier than trying to fix something under stress.. Make sure you arms are covered and rubber gloves whilst 'cow vetting' in the doors hehe

Will do Dave.

Any suggestions on where I can get a new switch? I have read somewhere that these are Vauxhall switches? Is that true?

There are a couple of styles, you can trawl ebay for a Vauxhall match or try a TVR breakers Douglas Valley / Bell Hill..
