Who next to return.................Matchless? hehe

At least it makes up the numbers now Carl Fogarty has canned the MV Agusta project (they couldn't find the sponsorship).

Crash.net said:
Peter Muller the Vice President of Development and Model Lines for
BMW
Motorrad, announced at the Paris motorshow, “In 2007 BMW returned to road racing with the sports boxer after more that 50 years. In 2008 we well continue our activities in the Endurance category. At the same time we will be preparing our entry into the Superbike World Championship in 2009 with great intensity.”

They are expected to release more information soon detailing the motorcycle concept and structure of the team.

I assume bmw will be launching a superbike at some point then? How are they going to get the boxer engines leant over far enough? Should be interesting anyway, i assume theyll get the same capacity allowances as ducati too? Maybe therell be some f1 crossover technology too.
