Really been pissed off today.

Went out this morning on bike to go for IAM ride.

Stopped at petrol station, which was on a slope. When i came back to the bike after filling up, jumped on the bike and the balence of the bike went over and the bike fell over trapping my leg under. frown

Snapped my hero peg off and scratched the corner of the tail unit, and the bottom fairing. fortunatly most of the weight was taken by my leg and the crash bung.

Think it has damaged my ankle as when i got back, it has really started to hurt. had loads of ice on it all afternoon. still can't put any weight on it.

not happy......

Mate that sucks. If you still can't put any weight on it in the morning, get your backside down to casualty.

At least the crash bung did it's job.

I hope you're OK. This may make you smile. I went to a biker pub, 200 or so in the car park. Somebody on a KTM was pulling wheelies so I decided to sit on the bike to warm her up while they played. I have no idea how, but the bike sort of toppled over leaving me a bit trapped in front of all those people! Still, a very nice young lady came over to help me up. Ho hum

Tim,

Sorry to hear that mate....Done similar myself on a bike that had done about 10 miles!!
Might be worth having a quick xray on that ankle. You don't want to have fractured or chipped it and to let it heal incorrectly. This will only make it worse in later life!
Which IAM group are you a member of...not East London is it?

At least you can put that down as your fault, slightly embarassing, but no one else to blame, I did similar stalling it on a hill shortly after passing my test, but that damage doesn't really matter now as I got to do a superman impression yesterday, car decided to try and drive through my bike after stopping at a give way sign, result 20ft flight up into the air(apparently) four hours sat in a+e and bike in a bit of a mess.
