How many keys with an E91

What keys should a 2007 E91 come with?

I got 2 of the dash insert keys with my ex demobut with previous E46s I also got a "valet" key and an emergency key

Mine is a Set '06 E91 and was supplied with an emergency key, it fits the driver door and then to start the car there is an adapter in the glove box to fit into the dash slot and start the car

I've not seen that before, GTS, but the "metal bit" can be pulled out of the plastic sleeve on the new key, so it would be possible. I assumed the deletion of the "Last Chance" key was a cost saving meeasure.

Maybe they've stopped it on more recent models?, tbh when I saw your post I thought I might be wrong and it was from my previous E46 but went and tried it and it worked! , the emergency key is black plastic and seems to have a small transponder in it presumably for the alarm

I've just bought (second hand) a recent shape 330i saloon which came with only 1 key fob. The key fob is not an actual key. I'm going to get a second key fob, but am wondering if there should be an actual key or not? I do notice that there is a key slot on the boot (under the model designation) so assume the answer should be yes.

BlueC2, I collected my latest E91 yesterday. Two keys. If you press the grooved bit at the back of the key, you can extract a conventional, metal key. Otherwise, I think the valet/last chance keys are no longer supplied.

Thanks BOR. I really need to read the manual on this car, but I bought it just before I went abroad to work and haven't been able to yet.

Yep, same as above for me too

You used to get two plus a valet key and adaptor either in the boot or glove box.
You now only get two remotes.
