Superpole results.

1. Troy Bayliss
2. Troy Corser
3. Ruben Xaus
4. Max Biaggi
5. Noriyuki Haga
6. Lorenzo Lanzi
7. Michel Fabrizio
8. James Toseland
9. Roberto Rolfo
10. Shinichi Nakatomi
11. Marco Borcianni
12. Max Neukirchner
13. Regis Laconi
14. Lacob Smrz
15. Vito Ianuzzo
16. Fonsi "monobrow" Nieto
15. Fonzi Nieto

Toseland was 7/10ths up on Biaggi and would have been around Corser's time at the end of the lap but crashed just after the 2nd split and didn't complete the lap, but he starts 8th on the grid, not 16th (16 superpole runners). Does anyone know why he only drops to the second row, big escape and let off and good for him but I have no idea why?

Think it's because he qualified on the provisional front row - you only drop back one row, if your superpole lap isn't completed.

What a mad race, race 1 was. Well the first lap was just mayhem and some good dicing between Haga & Toseland. Then race 2 again tight at the front with Bayliss & Haga swapping bodywork stickers. Toseland dropping the bike at that stupid 35mph hairpin where everyone else has at least once during the weekend.

Biaggi winner in race one and Bayliss in race two.

Toseland takes a 29 point lead over Biaggi into the final weekend at Mingey-Cours (where Toseland clinched his 2004 title) smile
