hmm just realised RD will have even more reason to be miffed with Alonso next year.
Privileges within F1 are given to teams based on their points haul in the year so presumably next year instead of the big McClaren Hospitaly suite , transporters and free passes for the team next year RD will get space for a campervan and two tickets for the hungarian GP.

Blimey how cheesed will that make RD feel watching Alonso swanning round the Ferrari enclosure if the mooted move takes place.

Oh thats if Mad Max lets McClaren race at all...

from F1 sporting regs:-

44)
With the exception of those whose cars have scored points in the Championship of the previous year, applicants must supply information about the size of their company, their financial position and their ability to meet their prescribed obligations.
45)
All applications will be studied by the FIA and accepted or rejected in its absolute discretion. The FIA will publish the list of cars and drivers accepted together with their race numbers on 28 April 2006, having first notified unsuccessful applicants as set out in Article 41. Out-of-time applications will be considered separately

If Dave Richards and Prodrive are taking part, they'll be next-door.

It always amazes me how many supposed F1 fans can't even spell McLaren correctly, its not a team named after the England Manager's great uncle you know! biggrin

I find it amazing that the guy managed to drive F1, build up his own team, manage the sex pistols, set up a kiddies buggy business, and found time to manage the england ballet-on-grass team too .... quite an amazing chap!

Serious point - Bruce was an aussie, yet they play the british national anthem (not anymore this year) because the team is britsh. Fair enough, but surely we should get god save the queen when the renault team wins too.

Bruce was a Kiwi; I believe you accusing him of being Australian is the ultimate insult for a New Zealander

Er - and why was Alonso seen avoiding the McLaren hospitality suite this week and going into the Renault tent? I don't think there is a chance of him driving for McLaren next year so he is looking elsewhere. After Raikkonen's and Massa's performance today they, and Jean Todt stated it clearly in his interview, are both remaining at Ferrari next year. Wither(sic) Alsonso?

... so why don't LH, FA, and RD to the hacka infront of the Ferrari garages before the race. That would be funny as feck.
