Fuel Pressure Regulator part number is......
Discussion
........Bosch 0 280 160 280
After my post here I have been investigating my 3.5bar fuel pressure. It would seem that my regulator is indeed a 3.5bar item, having googled it. As fitted to Volvo 440 2.0inj!
Bearing in mind my injectors are all the usual Bosch -744 "beige" type does it sound like I have the wrong spec regulator fitted?
I am not experiencing any other issues as the adaptives aren't all over the place coping with a rich mixture. I am wondering if the early cars (1996) are all fitted with a 3.5bar regulator. Maybe all of the 4.2s have a 3.5bar regulator. I was expecting 3bar as that is the pressure the injectors are rated at.
I'm thinking if it ain't broke.......
Any thoughts?
