Driving up to Birmingham tomorrow from Surrey, then on to Nottingham, so that's all of the M40 wink What's this motorway, outer parts of brum etc likely to be like tomorrow? Should be fairly quiet I'm hoping? Usually I go straight to notts up the M1 and that's hit and miss wink

Good news is I get to drive on about half of the M25 going to brum wink Coming back won't be though frown

End of ramble. Cheers smile

m40 is one long race track, the m42 is not so good, watch out for the variable speed cameras around birmingham

That's the long way round....

M40 --> leave at Junction 10 (A43?) --> Silverstone --> M1 north

It's a good, fast link between M40 and M1, but watch out for the fixed Truvelos...

And watch out for unmarked plod around and south of Nottingham...black Volvo V70 with blacked out rear windows. Looks like a pimpmobile, but it's not. Saw him again today, pulling someone in a daft little car.

I think he needs to go via Brum...

...and I prefer the A46/M69 link wink

I don't like the top part of the M42 and A42. Lots of hills and racing elephants - it's not pleasant unless empty!

Went up the M40 yesterday to Junction 10 for a track days at an old air base and can safely say you'll have to do extremely well to keep it within the speed limit lol wink
