Put down a deposit on a T350 on the weekend and have a few questions if anyone can help:

1. Firstly the glovebox doesn't stay closed, the magnet seems to have lost its stick. I heard there was a mod for this, if so what is it and how much will it cost me?

2. The car has recently been scratched under the badge and in fairness the owner has taken the cost of this off the final offer, how much will this cost to get fixed and is there somewhere near north London I can get this done.

3. The digital display pod has pixelated (about three stripes) I have seen a few like this, how is this rectified and how much will it cost.

4. It also needs a sports exhaust, which is the best to go for?

5. The car is a good price and has an autoprotect warranty, is this worth the paper its on?

6. An after thought which is a small niggle, the current owner is the fourth making me the fifth, is this a problem?
(The car is a good price had a rebuild at Power a year ago, new clutch, tyres and alloys and is having a 137 point check on tueday for a warranty transfer)

Thanks biggrin

You can get replacement's from tvr power (or others)

You could try unplugging and replugging the conectors to the ecu / dash pod - I believe the FAQ at the top of the forum has more details on this.

Cost of repaint will depend on the colour. Clever colour changing paints from TVR only cost a bomb (even my red glow paint cost 250 a litre).

The warranty has worked well for me and is worth it.

Thanks David, will have a look at the sticky re the pod. Hope it does only need removal and refitting.

Trefor, it is moonraker black unlike my old topaz car I guess it may be a bit easier to match?

There are quite a few Moonraker black T350s and Tams out there. So np.
The TVR Power sports exhaust is the business!

1. Take the glove box out, reverse the springs and replace. The extra pressure keeps it closed

5. Probably

6. It would have put me off personally, but I'm ... cautious whre I spend money. If you have the complete history, bought at a price that reflects the high no. of owners and it passes the forthcoming check, I shouldn't worry

Edited ...

4. I went for a s/h JP and it sounds fabulous

Thanks Peter / Martin

comments appreciated

The car is very well documented and the current owner certainly seems fastidious about the vehicle although only owning it for a short time, seems to be buying a new house and needing the cash.

This what the tvr power exhaust sounds like. I never took it over 3500 rpm and bad quality sound but should give you some idea. Listen for the pops on the over run. laugh

I just got a JP for mine, good god its sound nice. Lots of grumbles at low rpm, a manic howl at higher revs and wonderful pops and bangs on the overrun. Definately how they should have sounded from the factory, its lovely.

The one on ebay is not the same as mine so may not be a JP.
