I'll take any choice (except vegetarian only ; ). Both me and Mrs Beard are up for it.

Edited to add - as Mrs B will drive me there - please no big city venues!!!

It would be nice to go somewhere with a Hotel nearby. I find going to Christmas dinners and not getting drunk depressing.

Would Coventry be to much of a push out of the way for everyone?

Can recommend the Wing Wah chinese buffet place, as much as you can eat :druel:

Would beice to meet a few people off of here.

At the other side of the county - can recommend a couple of places in Lincoln.

1. Gino's (mine and Mrs Bond favourite Italian)
2. Thai No 1

Or how about Big Wok in Nottingham??

Wouldn't worry about the car, looks fine; there's also plenty of small diesels that get used as daily runners too, eg my diesel fabia..
