I like them, and on my (unclaibrated) laptop screen look fine, but the B&W ones seem to lack "punch" to separate the subject from the background.
How about lifting the car to another layer (in PS) then playing with the contrast of the background (washing it out slightly) - that may work. I would have a bash, but I'm on my work laptop at the moment (no photoprocessing software here
)

I cant afford a monitor calibrator at the moment so Ive had to use Adobe Gamma to try and set mine the best I can, and they dont look overly dark...but I guess I could alter the lighting to bring the details out a bit more
All this about layers...I really do need to learn how to do it

They look slightly dark, but i just assumed that was the 'look' you were after for this set. The logo is really annoying in the middle, could you not just put it in the corner?
I do have copies without the logo - 6 is superb.

Numer 1 and 6 are my faves so far
I was after a darker image as that is what I prefer with B&W photography, but I think its not just how dark, but the contrast between the background!
Thanks Lord Grover, had a quick look through, will have a better read up tomorrow
