Now the 2008 models are being shown in Paris and reading through MCN regarding deals, I am in the market for a new Suzuki GSX-R 600 K7 model. Having looked on the website of George White, DK Motorcycles and Taz Motorcycles, there are savings of up to one thousand pounds off the list price.

Has anyone bought a motorcycle from either one of the companies mentioned and can anyone advise me on good online dealers?

Regards,

Nick.

Bought my GSXR 1000 K7 from Taz, saved a grand. Would recommend them. Ok there imports, but arent they all. Same bike, same power, built by the same people in the same factory,3 year warranty, what more can you ask for. biggrin

Did Taz tell you about the recalls on the K7 and confirm they have been done?

Does the insurance increase for an import and are parts harder/more expensive? I do not know, but I would like to know the answer before buying.

Didnt affect my insurance ...parts wise you should be fine...however, damage any non(UK)standard paintscheme and your only option is to have a brand new panel painted or the damaged/marked old panel repaired and then painted.

Beware some euro and american imports are restricted and well down on full power..as my mate found out when an old FZR600 spanked his Fireblade..Get the seller to include on the invoice/bill of sale "full UK spec".
