No horn! [ dont be rude boys!] Traced to no earth on steering column. How or where is it earthed; come on "spend" I know you will have the answer, cheers, John.

My V8S wasn't earthed properly but was sort-of earthed via the pedal box / throttle cable and steering column / rack. Various alarm related gremlins went away when I fitted a dedicated earth.

It's earthed via one of the bolts holding the steering column upright.

There should be an earth lead from the dash area to one of the upper column mounting bolts, I believe. TBH I replaced the battery chassis link - dash joke, with 2 nice big earth cables to a stud under the dash, and then linked everything in the dash area to that stud. Hence I may have changed it a little wink.
