911 vs Cayenne (Pricing)

Looking in the back of EVO I notice that 911s are more expensive than 'equivelant' Cayennes.
I dont understand how Porsche can justify that?!??!

I went over this in a thread a few weeks ago,,,it is difficult to work out when you consider the development cost of 996 & Boxster must have been shared to more than a certain extent...The K-N has a completely new body platform and a new V8 engine...Lets not even get into the cost of developing the all new 4wd system......
As stated before 911 owners are paying too much for the cars,,,,but then again for the £100k you spend on a new X50 996TT,what can get near it that is not a kit car for £150k. Supply & Demand as in all markets.

Take a look at Porsches published figures for turnover and profit. 828million euro profit on 4.8 billion euro turnover.
