I'm about to book tickets for me and my son to go to Silverstone for the BGP next year but am having difficulty getting accomodation close to the circuit. I'm now thinking of staying about 30 miles away from the circuit and driving in and out on Sat & Sun.
Has anyone any experience of what the traffic's like getting in and out and are there any back routes into the circuit. I go to Oulton Park a lot and now know a great way to get straight in even on the busiest days, is the same poss. at Silverstone (only been there twice may years ago to BTCC and an F3 meeting).
Don't really like the place as a spectator but I guess F1's not heading my way anytime soon.
