Leaking PAS fluid.
I don't think its the pump, maybe it's from a hose or loose clip?
Has ayone got a drawing of the system from the PAS fluid pot to the pump?
Thanks.

Bugger, I have the same near the front left wheel.
She is going in for a service on Wednesday so hopefully only a hose or clip.

I reckon mine will be the same Cloggy. A diagram would be good though.... at least I would have something to go on when I get it up on axles.

The first thing I would check is the low pressure U-bend return pipe near the pump. Not uncommon for them to start leaking after a few years.

It seems to be leaking some where around the U-bend return pipe. Is it just a case if replacing the jubilee clips?

Try 2 new jubilee clips per connection under the reservoir and U bend. Worked for me when nothing else seemed to

Thanks.
It will be over a pit on Thursday morning, so I can have a better look then.
Either way it doesn't sound too difficult........ I hope.

Agree with puffsorted2, mine was the same with small leak on garage floor by nearside wheel. Two new decent jubilee clips, tightened up first time on then after a couple of weeks of running re tighten as new clips always give a little.

Since then nice and dry.

Clive, were the 2 jubilee clips the ones at either side of the u-bend pipe?

Its a very common problem due to the bend of the hose. TJ Motors Boro'bridge always nip my jubilee clips up every service

It's leaking at just one side of the u-tube. So I have replaced the jubilee clip and wait to see if that sorts it.

I just dropped her off at the Indie in Denham.
Perry Mott (who used to run the V8 Centre in High Wycombe) knows a lot about TVRs and said it was a common (small) problem and would be fixed.
He also does conversions with braided tubes.

Do you think the old clip had lost the ability to clamp a hose then?

When I had a close look, the only place oil seemed to be coming from was the hose on the right. It was wet with oil around the jubilee clip. I tightened it up a day or two ago, but it was still seeping oil.
So I decided to change the clip and nip it up nice and tight. If that fails, then I think the hose will need to be replaced. We will see…..
