Anybody know any dates for trackdays on the full GP circuit before the end of the year?

I was thinking of trying out the 968 on the 10th Nov.

Is that still the full track?

hmmm...

When I first saw the day (a couple of months ago) it gave the impression that it was the GP circuit, but there doesn't seem to be anything on their website now which says either way.

I have sent them an email and will post their reply.

I fancied this myself, but only if it is the full GP.

National sucks really, comapred to the GP. It only has 4 corners really...

Gold track days are the best, the sessions make it less crowded and you still get 4 and a 1/2 hours of track time, because they do not stop for lunch! Why would you wanyt more then that? Most cars would be dead after that, not to mention the drivers...

I've done a few Gold Track days, all Openpit lane and I have to agree with u they do run awesome track days. But unfortunately I share my car with a mate and the 2 group format doesn't really make it possible.

We either have to pay twice so we can drive in both groups which makes it bit to costly, especially as Gold Track days aren't the cheapest...

or share just the 1 slot, which if by the time u pull in, change over etc.. your luckly if u get 12 minutes per hour...

I'd wish they'd offer the second slot cheaper or something..... if I'd use them all year round

Just don't bring him... When he mentions he shares the car explain carefully to him that he only shares the bills. Or I could ban him and not you? Or you could wait til the winter when it's cheap.

Hi Melindi,

Thanks for the words of wisdom wink Unfortunately he also stores the car, so I'd have to sneak it out under cover of darkness laugh

So is there anything GoldTrack consider doing to help with this situation?? We've always been fans of your openpit lane days etc... but the 2 group thing as it stands just doesn't workout for a car share.

How about a sizeable discount on the 2nd group??

We do really wanna give you our hard earn money, but not if it means paying 2 x full price.

But then I'd be paying you to come on the day... which, even though I love you as I do, would be very dim of me...

It's going to have to be the sneak the car out under cover of darkness option.

I see your point, but if I pay twice the price I'd also be paying for 2 cars for the day when we only have 1, which would be very dim of me.... especially as an Open pitlane day wouldn't cause such issues?

Also, I've discussed this issue with various friends recently and we all love to car swap and passenger ride in each others cars. The 2 group option days, again just don't counter for that. No-one wants to miss there 1 slot per hour to passenger ride with someone else???

So really openpit lane days are the only way as far as I can see?

This is getting a little 'off topic' - I suppose we should start an Open Pit lane V.
Sessioned Track Days ... however biggrin, my take on this is that if I'm by myself, a sessioned
day suits me OK but if I'm sharing my car (with my son - I pay for both of us!) then an
Open pit lane suits me better.
I don't want to drive just one session every two hours if I'm sharing on a sessioned day,
but I would say that we would never be out on track for half an hour at a time in an open pit lane situation.
