No need to worry. We've taken a Chim & a Tuscan on ferries and the Chim also on a Transport train as long as you are careful you will be fine.
We are also taking our T350c on an overnight ferry later on today and putting it on a transport train on Friday and that only has 10cm clearance. Will let you know how that fairs when we get back

no problemo. Went on the ferry from Plymouth to Roscoff couple of months ago with 2 Chims, getting on and off was not an issue. Hint: Take a car cover to throw over during the journey - my mate did, i didn't - guess who's car was covered in a slimy film like substance all day.....i think it's the fumes in the air from all those assylum seeker laden lorries.
On a side note: I am taking my Griff to the South of France in July so was looking into the various options. Including the autotrain from Paris. Guess what I found? The French autotrain had both the TVR Griffith and Chim's listed and confirmed they had enough clearance to be transported. Boy was I surprised.
NB: I decided against it as the fare was £170 one-way just for the car plus the cost of passenger fares. Trust me to be going at the most expensive time - at the cheapest time it comes down to about £100.
