I'm trying to think of the name of a game I used to have on the Commodore 64. I can't find it on any of the C64 websites. You controlled this guy on a jetpack, who just moved in two dimensions up, down, left and right on the screen. Asteroids and stuff flew at you and you had to shoot them. Can anyone remember what it was called?

thanks.

blimey!! That's a long list!

If it helps what jogged my memory was that they played a dance track in the gym last night and I'm sure it was the music to this game smile

Balls, spent too long trying to find a pic of the C64 version and not the Nintendo ones littering Google.

Jet-Pac by Ultimate Play The Game. More famous for KnightLore and Sabrewulf. Changed their name to Rare and sold it to MS for $370 million.

"Asteroids" confused me (i think they were huge stone heads or something)

Fairly shite game, but massive on arcades... it was prety fast moving for the time. And it did have catchy and repetitive music.

I remember seeing that for the first time at the midland computer fair and being totaly gobsmacked... It might look basic now but back then it was amazing... dont forget when that came out we were all still playing poing pong on those tv consoles !!!!!

The first time i saw Driver on the ps2 was a similar leap

Mmm.. I've found some in game footage of Space Harrier and I still haven't heard the music yet. Maybe I have the wrong game?

Are you sure it was on the C64 and not the Amiga version (either yours or a friends) that you remember the music from?

I had both C64 and Amiga so quite possibly. The only thing I can be certain of was that the music I heard last night was from a computer game when I was a kid (so C64 or Amiga).
