I gather this will be a repeat of a question but just split up with G/F and have always wanted an E46 M3, currently drive a 320CD before that had a 330Coupe.

Got the 320CD to P/X and a bit of dosh, so I reckon a limit of 22k on one.......so chaps wheres a good garage and what do I look for, what about warranty?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If theres a thread to direct me from previous questions that would be spot on..........

Personally I would use a good broker to find you a car with BMW warranty in place, so you have the peace of mind but not paying main dealer prices. It will prevent you having to sift through lots of cars too! I would recommend Dion at Elms Collection. £22k is a good budget though and you'll probably be looking at 2003 cars with about 30k miles I would think?

There are some BMW AUCs available for 22K - probably quite a few if you are happy with manual and don't want SMG. The BMW AUC warranty is pretty good compared to any other warranty you might get.

Obviously you'll get a bit more for your money by using a specialist dealer or ultimately going private.

If you're not hung up on satnav, 19" wheels then you can probably still find a car 1-2K cheaper than one with those two options fitted.

Oh, and get yerself over to www.mtorque.co.uk , which is the best M3 site going.

You'll get mine for that, it's at Munich Legends and it really is a great car (I have no vested interest in the sale so don't need to say this!!)
