Sliding windows?

I searched all through previous discussions but couldnt find anything on this. Has any one tried fiting an GT40 style sliding windows on the Ultima GTR? friend has one and it looks like it could be adapted to Ultima. Any thooughts??

Why would you want one?
Even if you could slide or lower the window you are still to low down to reach anything like parking meters and toll booths.
